The Rivonia Circle is a ground-breaking non-profit which produces innovative ideas and solutions
for social development through research and community collaboration. We firmly believe in the ideals of the Constitution, best expressed through the values of Freedom, Equality, Justice and
Solidarity.

The Rivonia Circle is committed to developing transformative policy and political ideas; finding and training public leaders who are willing to transform South Africa’s future; and developing political strategic options for this group and South Africa, transforming South Africa from a promising but failing state into a robust democracy whose people drive national socioeconomic prosperity.

Officially launched in January 2022, the Rivonia Circle quickly moved into action hosting its first
programmes in February 2022. Launching our flagship projects, Democracy Builder and Political
Theatre in Thoyondou, Limpopo and Soweto, Johannesburg set a tone for our work being deeply
rooted in community and anchored in community engagement and agency.
